Lunch and Learn – Ger Copeland

Today, we were honoured to welcome Ger Copeland to ASL HQ for our inaugural ‘Lunch and Learn’ session. Ger shared his extraordinary story of courage, determination, and resilience.

In February 2024, he suffered three brain hemorrhages following a skiing accident, an event that left him needing to relearn how to eat, swallow, and walk. Remarkably, just eight months later, Ger completed the Dublin Marathon in an incredible time of 3:06:50 and was awarded the Lord Mayor’s Medal, but his story doesn’t stop there.

Ger spoke to us about life before the accident, what drives him, the immense challenges of his recovery, and how running continues to be a transformative force in his life. His story didn’t just move us, it inspired us.

Thank you for joining us, Ger!
