ASL Aviation Holdings’ newest airline,

ASL Airlines United Kingdom received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) and operating licence from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in 2021. It was the first fixed-wing operator to receive an AOC from the CAA after Brexit when the United Kingdom left the European Union.

ASL Airlines UK operates a daily East Midlands-Belfast service using an ATR 72-500F aircraft (G-OASB). The airline plans to grow its network and has applied for EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) third-country operator authorisation to operate services from the UK to Europe.

ASLUK’s initial AOC specifies the operation of cargo flights on a single route using ATR 72 aircraft, but the airline is aiming to grow its domestic UK network and also operate cargo flights between the UK and Europe.

In June 2023, ASLUK’s first B737-800BCF (G-OHJK) entered service. This addition represents a service upgrade for the airline, operating five days per week on the airline’s UK and European network serving CDG, EMA and BFS.

ASL Airlines UK is closely aligned with ASL Airlines Ireland using common standard operating procedures and shared support services. This association forms part of ASL Group’s programme to harmonise its operations, removing unnecessary duplication of services and creating ‘Centres of Excellence’ to service both existing and new customers alike.
